WordPress Makes Life Easier

November 2nd, 2012 by

If you’re a business owner, you probably don’t have time to learn how to build a website. You probably don’t even have time to learn how to manually edit and maintain a static website. A WordPress website solves some of this for you. If you’re comfortable using word processing software, like Microsoft Word, you’ll be right at home using WordPress.

WordPress Visual EditorWordPress Visual Editor

WYSIWYG stands for “What You See Is What You Get”. The WordPress Visual Editor is a WYSIWYG editor. This type of editor is great for people who don’t know HTML. It’s also great for those that do know HTML, but want a more efficient way of maintaining a website. The Visual Editor gives you the power to do just about anything with your content.

WordPress Visual Editor allows you to easily add photos, graphics, videos, and links to your page. Page layout is also a breeze. Text alignment works the same as a normal word processing software. Image alignment is also just as simple. You can also add and edit tables visually. If you’ve ever worked with tables using HTML, you know it’s a pain.

Once you start creating content in WordPress you’ll be addicted. The process is so simple that you’ll constantly be creating new content.

WordPress Content Management

Some content management systems make managing content more complicated than it should be. This isn’t the case with WordPress.  A listing of your posts can be viewed by clicking on “Posts” from the WordPress Dashboard. You can choose to list your posts in various orders such as alphabetic, and by date posted. You can also view posts in specific categories. The post listing will show all important information about each post.

The focus of WordPress is on creating content. There are a ton of other applications out there that work well as a content management system, but none of them are as focused on quickly creating, publishing, and managing content. If you’re ready to start turning out quality content at record speeds, then check out WordPress.
